Leadership
Adib Zalkapli
Managing Director
Adib is responsible for driving the firm’s growth, managing relationships with clients and high-level stakeholder engagements. He has served corporations from various industries including internet, food, FMCG, financial services, mining and healthcare. His notable achievements include supporting global manufacturers to mitigate disruptions to their supply chains caused by the COVID-19 lockdowns and border closures in Southeast Asia. He had also worked with senior executives from a global food company to develop supply chain resilience and business continuity plans (BCPs) in the event of an escalation in the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea.
He has also advised companies in the areas of halal certification and certificate of origin issuance. Prior to working in the private sector Adib was a political analyst with the British High Commission, Kuala Lumpur where he supported the mission in pursuing British foreign policy priorities and commercial interests in Malaysia. At the High Commission he also advised British defence and infrastructure companies in pursuing high value opportunities in Malaysia.
Adib holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations with Distinction from the University of Nottingham where he conducted research on national security issues of Thailand and Singapore.
Syahril Hussin
Client Delivery Lead
Syahril is responsible for the integrity of the firm’s client solutions ensuring our work meets the highest standards of clarity, precision, and actionable value. Bringing his engineering training and energy industry experience to the geopolitical advisory space, he applies a systematic and disciplined approach to solution design and quality assurance, ensuring consistent, high-impact outcomes in a field where rigor is often overlooked.
Syahril was most recently the General Manager of Public and Government Affairs at ExxonMobil’s affiliate in Malaysia. In this role he was responsible for managing the company’s relationships with key stakeholders at the national oil company Petronas, as well as the federal and state governments.
He had also served as the General Manager (Commercial), responsible for all ExxonMobil upstream commercial matters in Malaysia. Syahril had also held various engineering and managerial roles in operations, maintenance and HSE at ExxonMobil since 2000, including a position on the Board of Directors of a non-profit organization aimed at enhancing environmental protection through collective resources in responding to oil spill incidents. Syahril attended Stanford University where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
